Trial On Nov 3 For Former Soldier On Murder Charge
The trial of the former soldier, alleged to have killed his four-month old daughter in Nabua last year, will begin at November 3 at the High Court in Suva.
Tevita Veicavuyaki Kunawave, 26, appeared before Justice Daniel Goundar yesterday.
Kunawave is charged with the murder of his daughter who was one day away from turning four months.
He is alleged to have seriously injured his daughter resulting in her death after she was allegedly caught in the middle of a dispute between her parents.
The alleged incident occurred on Sunday, October 27, 2019, at their home in Nabua.
The trial begins on November 3 and ends on November 11.
Kunawave has been further remanded in custody and the matter adjourned for trial.
