Flying Fijians and Glasgow Warriors lock, Leone Nakarawa, has put his hand up to be part of the Vern Cotter coached-side to the Autumn Nations Cup in November.

The 31-year-old, Kadavu native departed our shores on board an Air New Zealand commercial flight yesterday.

“I am looking forward to being part of the Fiji team once again,” he told SUNsports.

He confirmed that the Fiji Rugby Union or the coaching panel had yet to contact him but was keeping his fingers crossed.

“It will be a grand competition to be part of during this pandemic. A top rugby competition as such is mandatory for players like us,” Nakarawa said.

His club contract ends on the 2019/20 seasons.

The Fijians are pooled alongside France, Italy and Scotland while England, Ireland, Georgia and Wales in the other pool.
