Police White forward Rusiate Nasove has caught the attention of Fiji Airways Fijian 7s head coach, Gareth Baber.

Baber told Sun Sports yesterday that Nasove was one of the standouts at the 44th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s tournament.

Rating Nasove highly, Baber said: “He’s one of the standout backrow players in the Skipper Cup games that I have watched. Certainly, I have watched all his games and I

believe that the talent that he shows is not far away from what you want to see from a 7s forward as well.

“The biggest thing he’s got is that he’s incredibly fit and he’s got a great work ethic and he loves working. When you get that in a 7s player that could be special.

“He’s gifted physically in his ability to be strong and powerful above. You have seen during the Skipper Cup competition and in our sevens team, he is the fittest player. He’s a contracted player now and is into the 7s programme. I’m hopeful for him and the 15’s environment as well.”

Baber believes Nasove has a strong future ahead of him and was pleased to see him in the 7s programme.
