Fiji Bitter Marist 7s, under 21 best player Nacani Boginisoko has dedicated his award to his father.

His father travelled from Kadavu earlier in the week to come and see him play.

The Naivakarauniniu, Sanima, Kadavu native said this was a special one for him.

His side, the Dominion Brothers overcame surprised package,Marist 10 – 0, in the final.

He indicated that the victory was rewarding.

The under 21 champs is made up of young boys who played in the Deans rugby competition over the past years. They are from schools such as Lelean Memorial, Queen Victoria, Ratu Kadavulevu and Cuvu College.

“I would like to thank God for the win and also for this award,” he said.

“I did not expect to be the best player among the many here.

“This is dedicated to my dad, he came all the way from Kadavu to watch me play for Marist 7s.

“This award was not something easy to get, I know it takes hard work and you have to go through challenges, but it would eventually pay off.

“We also worked hard for this win and we were awarded with it,” Boginisoko added.

Like every other young player, donning the national jumper is something that he is working towards.

The former Cuvu College student plays for Nabua in the Escort shield competition of the Suva Rugby Union.
