Despite being ruled out for the rest of the Skipper Cup Premiership competition, Napolioni Bolaca has set his rugby goals for the future.

He aims to play at the 2021 Tokyo Olympics and earn a living by securing a contract overseas.

The Yasawa first five –eighth was injured in round six during their match against Nadroga at Lawaqa Park, Sigatoka.

And was the water boy for Seremaia Tuwai’s Barbarian Brothers team during the 44th Fiji Bitter Marist 7s last weekend.

“I am on recovery right now and my target is to play at the Tokyo Olympics,” he said.

“And after that, I want to secure a contract overseas so I could earn a living for my family playing the game I love.”

Last month the 24-year old won the Cigna Pressure Play Award, for his try against South Africa in the Cup final of the Sydney Sevens, and was also named in the 2020 HSBC Dream Team.

“I did not dream to be voted for the Cigna Pressure Play Award so I thank God for the opportunity.

“This has taught me a lot of things and it will be a start of a new beginning for my rugby career regarding the remaining series and the Olympic Games.

“I dedicated all my achievements so far to my family for their never ending support and prayers.”

Bolaca and fellow 7s player Waisea Nacuqu will miss Yasawa’s challenge for the Farebrother-Sullivan Trophy against Namosi at the ANZ Stadium, Suva on Saturday.

Both will be at Votua Village, Ba for Nacuqu’s wedding tomorrow.
