The Vodafone Women’s Interdistrict Championship (IDC) 2020 has been postponed.

This was confirmed yesterday by Fiji Football Association chief executive officer, Mohammed Yusuf.

He said the decision to postpone the tournament was based on the ground conditions, which is now in an unplayable condition due to unfavourable weather conditions.

Yusuf said Women’s IDC was scheduled to be played simultaneously with the men’s Courts IDC next week.

“Due to continuous rain in Suva, the ground is not in a good condition. Any inconvenience caused is highly regretted and we will announce the new dates of the Women’s IDC in due course,” Yusuf said.

He said the grounds committee would continue to monitor the pitch to further decide on the Courts IDC senior division matches.

“We will assess the ground conditions and if the weather continues to be the same, then we will shift the Senior Division pool matches to the Uprising Sports Centre in Navua.”
