The Ravinesh Kumar coached- Fresh Choice Lautoka football side will be chasing their 19th Courts Interdistrict Championship (IDC) tournament win.

The five-day tournament gets underway at the ANZ Stadium in Suva on Tuesday.

Lautoka head coach Ravinesh Kumar said they won’t be underestimating any team.

The Blues are in Group A along with hosts Suva, Battle of the Giants winners Rewa and Nasinu.

“They are all strong teams,” Kumar said.

“We are preparing well for the IDC and we look forward to having a great tournament.”

Lautoka’s campaign have been boosted with the inclusion of seasoned players like Jone Vono Junior, Zibraaz Sahib, Kolinio Sivoki, Sekove Finau and Viliame Tabucala.

Also the return of veteran midfielder Netani Doli and plucky striker Valerio Nawatu for the IDC is an added boost to their campaign.

Since, the first IDC in 1938, Lautoka have played in 27 finals with the 18 wins. They last won the IDC title in 2018.
