Rain Disrupts Vanua Semifinals

The current prolonged wet weather experienced throughout the country has forced the deferment of the Vodafone Vanua Championship semifinals.
The Fiji Rugby Union in a circular dated October 5, advised the Unions of the changes.
The FRU had received confirmation from all their venues, Ratu Cakobau Park in Nausori, Nadi’s Prince Charles Park and Churchill Park, Lautoka, that due to the wet weather conditions and the soggy ground conditions they would not be able to host these matches.
Furthermore, most of these venues will also be hosting the Fiji 50th Celebration on Saturday.
“We have also sought guidance from the Met office and they have confirmed that the current wet weather conditions will prevail until Sunday next week,” stated FRU.
