Agape Healing Ministry Church Pastor Waisake Tulavu is guilty and convicted as charged.

Tulavu yesterday appeared before Judge Justice Daniel Goundar for the summing up and judgment of his one-week rape trial.

Tulavu now stands convicted of four counts of rape and one count of sexual assault.

Tulavu was charged with raping three women and sexually assaulting one of the victims between May 11 and September 15, 2018, at Nasinu.

Tulavu is represented by counsels Sokoveti Daunivesi, Talei Kean and Epeli Sau from the Legal Aid Commission.

The state is represented by counsels Sadaf Shameem and Unaisi Tamanikayaroi from the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.

The three assessors had given their unanimous verdict of guilty as charged on all counts.

Justice Goundar in his judgment also said that he found Tulavu guilty as charged for the offences and convicted him.

The matter will be called for a sentencing hearing on October 19.

Tulavu has been further remanded in custody.
