Minister Vuniwaqa Delivers Minibus As Requested

The work that Almanah Hope Centre in Lautoka does daily is expected to reach another level, with its brand new minibus.
The centre’s founder and director, Pastor Raymond Moti, received the minibus yesterday, which was handed over by the Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Mereseini Vuniwaqa.
The minibus request was made last week by a member of the centre to the minister after the graduation ceremony.
Pastor Moti said: “Thank you so much and we know that you’re always accommodating and always good to us and we thank you so much and we are so appreciative of what you’ve done.”
Ms Vuniwaqa commended the centre for the livelihood and empowering programmes made available for women being trained at the centre.
She said the minibus was provided by the Office of the Prime Minister in Suva after she sent a message to the Permanent Secretary, Yogesh Jitendra Karan, regarding the request for transportation.
“I hope it’ll be put to good use and it will be a source of convenience for the women you train at the centre. I know that the women already come from backgrounds that are laced with hardships, challenges and difficulties and being able to make it to school itself is a huge thing,” the minister said.
“This will be able to help Almanah Hope Centre take your services to our women to another level, so we thank you for the work that you do.”
