Cotter: Our X-Factors

Flying Fijians back three – Semi Radradra, Josua Tuisova and Nemani Nadolo – are going to be our X-factors during the Autumn Nations Cup.
This was revealed by Flying Fijians head coach Vern Cotter.
Nadolo, who plays for Leicester Tigers and is making a comeback from semi-retirement, also played under Cotter while with French Top 14 club Montpellier.
Speaking to SUNsports yesterday, Cotter said the criteria he had, based on his selection, was about keeping an eye on the future.
“This is an opportune time for youngsters like (Chris) Minimbi, (Temo) Mayavanua and (Manueli) Ratuniyarawa to be nurtured by experienced senior members like (Leone) Nakarawa,” Cotter said.
He also indicated that another criteria was on players who could play in several positions.
“(Simi) Kuruvoli and (Serupepeli) Vularika have the ability to do that. Vularika can play at halfback, first five eight and second five eight. Kuruvoli is another example who plays at halfback and first five eight.”
Cotter highlighted that another criteria was based on tough individuals like strong running Levani Botia, Radradra, Albert Tuisue and Tevita Ratuva.
“These players are tough and have that character. We could use that character to help the team.”
Cotter is hopeful that Crusaders prop George Bower will play for the Flying Fijians next year.
“I have spoken to George recently. He is a good man and a great player.”
