FICAC To File Amended Info In Khan Case

Fiji Independent Commission Against Corruption (FICAC) will file an amended information in the case of a former Fiji Revenue and Customs Service (FRCS) employee facing abuse of office and general dishonesty causing loss charges.

This is in the case of former FRCS chief ethical standard unit officer and the director intelligence, compliance and investigations, Shameem Khan.

He appeared at the High Court in Suva on Wednesday. The matter will be called for mention to check on the amended information on October 23.

For the abuse of office charge, it is alleged that Khan made an arbitrary act for the gain in abuse of his office, in obtaining revenue of $4,118,994.08.

It is alleged that Khan also dishonestly caused a loss to the FRCS of a sum of $4,118,994.08.
