Imtiaz Ali and Hazrat Ali graduated from the University of the South Pacific in Labasa.

Breaking all odd and setting the benchmark, two brothers, Imtiaz Ali and Hazrat Ali graduated from the University of the South Pacific in Labasa.

Imtiaz Ali graduated in Post Graduate studies in Management and Public Administration along with his brother Hazrat Ali who graduated with a Bachelors degree in Commerce, majoring in Management and Public Administration and International Business & Marketing.

The duo dedicated their achievements to their late father and brother.

“My father cried when he attended my first graduation in 2007 at the Fiji College of Advanced Education,” Mr Ali recalled.

“I wish he was here today to see that my brother too had climbed the ladder of success through all his teachings and support.”

Mr Ali was the school head boy of Korotolutolu Primary School, Seaqaqa College and Labasa Muslim College.

“I am happy to see that my nephew Saiyad Furqan Ali is following in our footsteps as he scooped the prize of junior dux at his school last year,” he said.

“I thank my teacher Zarina Khan of All Saints School who always supports me.”

The school teacher of thirteen years would like to encourage young people to take advantage of the provisions provided by the government that is free education and scholarships.
