Defending Skipper Cup Premiership champions, Ram Sami Suva, is working hard to remain on top of the standing . They will face Lautoka in the round 13 kicking off at the 5.30pm at the ANZ Stadium after losing to QAQA Naitasiri 10-27 last Saturday.

And team manager Nemani Tuifagalele said the loss was history and they now shift their focus to win against Lautoka.

“Looking at the scoreboard, we need to rectify a lot of things,” he said.

“We have no excuses on our loss, Naitasiri was good but we have left that behind.

“We will work on what we lacked and prepare well against the Maroons.”

Tuifagalele said that the Suva Rugby Union club competition help them build more depth in the squad.

“We do have players and we will look at the depth of our squad.

Suva has missed two of its key players, hooker Tevita Ikanivere and utilily back, Serupepeli Vularika. They are part of Vern Cotter’s Barbarians before they will join the Flying Fijians for the Autumn Nations Cup in November.

“They had made their mark, selected for both Barbarians and Flying Fijians.

“They were two exceptional players and we cannot wait to see them in their Suva socks when they play for the Barbarians against England.”
