Melania Bukamoto has advised all Fijians to keep texting and make use of all the Vodafone promotions and be one of the lucky winners. Ms Bukamoto was one of the 10 winners of Vodafone Fiji’s Fiji50 independence day promotion.

The winners were announced in Suva yesterday.

Each winner walked away with $5000.

“This is the third time I have won a prize through the Vodafone promotion,” she said. “First time, I won a Samsung Galaxy in 2012, and Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge in 2016.”

All it took was to text FIJI50 to 815 once, she said. “This $5000 will help in setting up my business,” she said.

From the 10 lucky winners, three are from the Central Division, three from the Western Division, three from the Northern Division, and one from the Maritime Division. Vodafone Fiji Manager value added services, Zoya Begum, said they continued to encourage their customers to participate and be in the chance to win great prizes.

Ms Begum said: “We all acknowledge that we are experiencing some challenging times with the current pandemic, the loss of jobs, closure of hotels, shops, and borders.
“We realised the immediate need for our people is to have some extra cash to meet their daily needs.”
