Stay-Home Mum Hopes To Find Employment

Stay-home mum Serafina Ranadi, 36, is hopeful that her Certificate of Achievement in Basic and Advanced Computing will assist her get a new job to help her husband.
“My youngest daughter is now in Year One and I am hopeful that I will get a job to assist my husband in the finances of our family,” Ms Ranadi said.
Receiving her certificate from the Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Mereseini Vunwaqa during the Ba Women’s Forum graduation at Xavier College on Saturday has given her a sence of motivation to help her husband.
“I have been encouraged by the determination and hard work of my husband,” she said.
Ms Ranadi lives at Veisaru in Ba with her husband and their three daughters.
Her husband works at the Vatukoula Gold Mines has been the sole bread winner of the family for many years and Ms Ranadi has plans to change that.
After receiving her certificate she now plans to assist her husband hoping to secure employment to assist in supporting the family.
“When my husband is at work I am assisted by my brothers in our sugarcane field and our vegetable plantation as other ways to have income flowing in,” she said.
“I want to now find employment to help my husband and support our children.”
She said everyday was a struggle but she was determined to study and planned to find employment.
“Life is hard,” she added.
“I hope there is something out there for me so I can earn some income.”
