All Women Show At IDC

The 2020 Vodafone Women’s Inter-District Championship will be a historical one.

It will be run by women who have been appointed by the Fiji Football Association.

The tournament will be opened at 6pm today by Minister for Women, Children and Poverty Alleviation, Mereseini Vuniwaqa.

Fiji Football chief executive officer, Mohammed Yusuf said this was an effort to encourage and empower women in management and operations.

These officials are: Susan Wise (chairperson), Nazia Krishna (general operations/media relations), Sweta Shaniya (competitions), Tulia Tuidama (team affairs/protocols), Rangina Chand (team accommodation), Rangila Devi (team accommodation), Snehal Jariwala ( finance/ticketing), Waifune Tupua (ground arrangements/team affairs), Poonam Kumar (ticketing/finance), Lavenia Yalovi (Covid 19 Protocols), Vani Buadromo (technical), Lice Waqailiti (Technical).

Games Today:

12pm: Suva v Nasinu; 2pm: Rewa v Nadroga; 4pm: Ba v Nadi; 6:30pm: Tailevu Naitasiri v Labasa.

Entry Fee: $5 flat for adults, children under 12 years are free.
