Final Push For Tailevu

It’s all hands on deck for Team Tailevu in the final push to win the final Farebrother–Sullivan Trophy challenge on Saturday.
And what a year it has been for the side after rejoining the Skipper Cup Premiership from the Vanua Championship.
With its place secured for the 2021 competition, the side has gathered support in bid to win the prized silverware at Prince Charles Park, Nadi.
With Tailevu fan base canvassing support for the trip down to Nadi, the business arm of the province is also pitching in.
The Tailevu Holdings Company Pte Limited yesterday offered financial help to help in the team’s preparation.
Yesterday, Tailevu Rugby Football Union president Inoke Qarau received a donation from company representative, Talei Rokotuibau.
Rokotuibau hopes this was a start as the company ventures into assisting projects in the province.
“The company sees it necessary to support, not only Tailevu Rugby Football Union but also will be making a contribution to Northland Rugby Union when it prepares itself for thåe new season in 2021,”she said.
“It considered sports as a platform of unity among communities and the company iså encouraged by the impact both teams have created in the province.
“The team’s achievement in 2020 created a positive vibe among the people of the province of Tailevu. Both teams represent the province and should be supported. Tailevu Holdings considers this as its corporate social responsibility to support initiatives and activities of such nature.
“The company is fully backing Tailevu in the challenge against Nadi this Saturday and we’ve provided $1000 to help in the preparation.”
Northland and Rewa will join the Skipper Cup in 2021 replacing Yasawa and Lautoka,
The match kicks off at 3pm.
