Suva and Ono-i-Lau will play in the final of the Cricket Fiji Association Cup final tomorrow.

The teams beat Nadi and Moce respectively in good weather and exciting atmosphere at Albert Park yesterday.

Played over 50 overs, Suva amassed 155 for the loss of six wickets while Nadi were all out for 150.

But Ono-i-lau is the team to beat amassing 272 runs with the loss of nine wickets while Moce were all out for 271.

Today in the Bowl final, Cicia will play a Cricket Fiji Invitational while the Plate final will be between Komo and Lakeba.

Meanwhile, Cricket Fiji president Alex Konrote was happy with the development clinics conducted early this year.

“Overall the talent displayed has been very good and the island teams really stepped up,” he said.

“The development mainly focused on those coaches on the islands.

“There are a lot of young players we’ve identified in the past few days that we hope to get into the High Performance Unit (HPU) squad.

“Our team went out to the islands and did their job, their hard work have paid off with the results that we are witnessing.

“Now selection will be tougher because there are a lot of players for national duties next year.”
