Games Still Going On, Says FRU Boss

Fiji Rugby Union chief executive officer John O’Connor said despite the coronavirus lockdown in France the Autumn Nations Cup is still going ahead.
He said the assurance came from the competition organisers.
“Our players and officials have complied with all medical procedures and COVID-19 code of conduct that has been set by the organisers,” he said.
The players have arrived in camp and they are expecting everyone to be in by the weekend.
“Some players are also going to play for their clubs this weekend.”
Meanwhile, centre Jale Vatubua has withdrawn from the squad due to personal commitments.
In a statement, Vatubua said he had consulted head coach Vern Cotter.
The gathering in Limoges was the first to be held by Cotter since his appointment last year.
Fiji begins their year-end Nations Cup campaign against France on November 15. They will also meet Scotland and Italy.
Vatubua joins Semi Radradra who also had to withdraw because of a hamstring injury.
Cotter is expected to name their replacements soon.
