Saroj Mani, business owner of Triple Star Retailers at the Flee market in Suva and one of the loan recipients assisted by the Government’s COVID-19 Finance Support Package.

The 50-year-old single mother could not thank the Government enough for the assistance after she lost her stall in a fire incident.

Saroj Mani is one of more than 4200 micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) owners who have been assisted by the Government through the COVID-19 Finance Support Package.

She owned a business called ‘Triple Star Retailers’ that used to be at the Flee Market in Suva.

Ms Mani said she was thankful to the Government for its kindness and generosity.

“I was heartbroken and devastated after I lost my business place,” she said.

“I had no other form of support after the incident.

Ms Mani is the sole bread winner for her two children.

“The $7,000 that I received on September 10, has motivated me to be patient because everything will be alright soon,” she said.

She said she did not give up on her business and was planning to put up a tent to carry on with her work.
