3 Suva Teams In Semis

Suva will play in three semifinals of the Skipper Cup Premiership competition on Saturday.
The capital side’s senior team will host Namosi at the ANZ Stadium, the women face Naitasiri and the Under-19 will take on Nadroga.
Team manager Nemani Tuifagalele said this was a great achievement for the Suva Rugby Union.
“Congratulations to all Suva teams for making the cut after a very grueling 14 rounds,” he said.
“I’m glad for the three teams that have made it and the objective has yet to be achieved.”
Suva and Namosi will be meeting for the third time in the semifinal
And Namosi would be fighting hard to avenge their 12-37 loss in round seven and 17-22 defeat last week.
“Last week’s game was played on a very wet ground at Thomson Park.
“And I don’t think we should judge Namosi by their performance,” Tuifagalele said.
“But I think they will come up strong this week and we’re preparing quite well to counter Namosi’s effort to progress to the final.
“We had only three senior players who played last week as a very young team faced Namosi.
“We do not know who is going to make the match 23 as members of the squad are all trying to impress the coach.
“We hope we can field in a very good team.”
Tuifagalele has urged Suva fans to turn up in numbers and support the capital city side.
“This will be a cracker of a game. We invite all the fans to come in and support the two teams and hopefully the weather will be favourable to us as we look forward to a good game.
“It will be worth it coming down to the ANZ Stadium this Saturday.”
