Car shows are one way car enthusiasts come together and appreciate each other’s cars which they have modified according to their preference.

Zubed Ali, like any car lover, is looking forward to the Fiji Motorsports Association car show yesterday at the Namaka Public School ground, Nadi.

“My vehicle is a Suzuki Cappuccino (Registration: Yakuza), it is a small two-door, two-seater convertible (detachable) hardtop 657cc three-cylinder intercooler turbo engine,” Mr Ali said.

“When the car show was announced, we all started working on our individual cars.

“Car shows are one way we show how much we care for and love our rides.”

This year, Mr Ali is including  something different for his display.

“I will be putting up XBOX video game and it will be live with kids playing physically on sensor without a remote control.

“I have never missed any car show organised by Fiji Motorsports Association as it is one of the biggest organisations in Fiji that organises car shows and drag racing.

“I love my ride which I hardly drive; I bring it out to car shows to show our love for our rides, and this car brings me sheer joy.

“I would like to thank the organisers for this event, it is an opportunte time for us to experience something we get to watch on TV or read through the media as events like this are usually done overseas.

“A lot of people now own cars and this is one time they can come and learn more about vehicles.”
