Stay Humble, Naitasiri Players Told

The Naitasiri rugby team have been reminded not to be carried away but instead be humble as they prepare for Saturday’s Skipper Cup final against Suva at the ANZ Stadium.
Naitasiri’s humility on and off the field had been the highlight of their 2020 Skipper Cup campaign.
The Sireli Kaloucava-captained side booked their final spot after beating last year’s runners-up Nadroga 20-17 in the semi-final last Saturday.
In a team briefing Naitasiri head coach Ilaitia Tuisese Jnr reminded the players of the job ahead.
“This game (against Nadroga) is history now, let’s keep our feet down and stay humble we have not won anything yet,” Tuisese said.
“Enjoy this sweet victory with your family and focus on the grand final. Let’s continue with our usual training programme for this week- nothing have changed.”
Tuisese said they needed to lift their preparations against the defending champions Suva.
Although they had beaten Suva during the second round of competition, Tuisese said they would not be underestimating them.
“They (Suva) are used to playing in the final. They have done it for the last three years. It is time for us to go hard and try to win it,” he said.
“We have to be strategic against Suva and to make sure that our set pieces are executed well.
“Suva is a champion side, full of talented players and they will surely give us a hard time in the final.”
