Despite being relegated to the Senior Division next year, Nasinu will give their best at the Vodafone Fiji FACT tournament next week.

Nasinu is placed in pool A with 2020 Courts Inter-district champions and host Labasa, Ba and Battle of the Giants winner, Rewa.

Defending FACT champions Nadi heads Pool B with Suva, Lautoka and Navua.

Nasinu head coach Tagi Vonolagi said that his side was keen to play at the tournament despite the tough pool.

Nasinu is laced with veteran players like Leone Damudamu, Jone Naraba, Luke Tagi, Joseph Mishra and star Marlon Tahioa.

“The boys will do their best. We will go and play at that level,” he said.

“Other teams should not look down on us that we are going down.

“But we will bring some surprises in the tournament like we have done before and we are not afraid to do it again.”

The first round of tournament will be played on Saturday, November 21, at Churchill Park, Lautoka, and November 22 at ANZ Stadium, Suva. It will be a double header at both venues.

However, the tournament proper starts on Wednesday, November 25 at Subrail Park in Labasa until Sunday, November 29.

The winner of the tournament gets $17,000 and runner-up will get $5000. Nasinu and teams like Rewa will start their proper training from today.
