Respect all religions and be part of it, says Ledua Vakayatu.

The Year 11 student of DAV College in Nabua made a Rangoli art poster with a mixture of designs including tapa design.

“The mix art is the blend of the diversity of two main ethnic groups in Fiji which is iTaukei and Indo-Fijian, but we are all Fijians and this art says it all,” he said.

“In the right-side border, I have drawn a design that represents the different religious groups in Fiji which are Christianity, Hinduism, and Islam.”

He said the reason he wanted to make the Rangoli was because, he was taught to respect all religions and be a part of it.

“As a student, I would say that this is the celebration to separate all darkness from the light,” he said.

He added that his drawings show how he feels about Diwali.
