Fiji Television Limited (FTV) today announces the appointment of its new General Manager – Mr. Sitiveni Halofaki.

Mr. Halofaki holds a Bachelor of Arts in Television Production from Charles Stuart University in New South Wales, Australia and a Diploma in Business Management from the Royal Business College in Auckland, New Zealand.

He was previously employed as Manager Programmes at Fiji Broadcasting Corporation Limited from April 2005 – Jun 2007, and was the Acting Chief Executive Officer from July -December 2007.

He joined Fiji Television as Manager Production from January 2008 – December 2010 and took up a Communications Officer role with URS Australia (Pty) Limited, based in Honiara, Solomon Islands until 2013.

FTV Chairman Mr. Deepak Rathod says that “Mr. Halofaki comes with vast knowledge of the Television industry and being a former employee of Fiji TV, we are confident that he will steer the company forward positively”.

Mr. Halofaki replaces former FTV CEO, Mrs. Karen Lobendahn who resigned in October of this year.

Mr. Halofaki will take up the role of General Manager from Tuesday the 17th of November, 2020.
