Ravudi Comments Upset Naidu

Ronald Naidu and Jese Ravudi are set for tonight’s fight for the vacant World Boxing Foundation Asia Pacific super welterweight title at Prince Charles Park in Nadi.
A fit Naidu tipped the scale at 67.3 kilogrammes during the official weigh-in at the Nair’s Dais in Nadi yesterday. He was followed by Ravudi who weighed in at 69.25kg.
“I just cannot wait for this fight,” Naidu said.
“I have defeated Jese before and he is coming back, barking loudly.
“I hope he comes with his guard up and offers no excuse. Let’s do all the talking in the ring because it will count. It’s now or never for him.”
Naidu said he had stepped up his preparations.
He indicated that Ravudi has been talking a lot to the media lately.
“This is no joke and I’m not taking things easily. I’m not intimidated by Jese’s talk. My fans are by my side and ready to jump into the ring with me.”
Ravudi said he is ready to deliver in the ring.
“This is not the last time we fought. I hope he does come prepared.
“I urge my fans to come in numbers as I won’t disappoint them.”
Boxing Commission of Fiji chairman Subash Apanna said all fights are set to go, with only one confirmed title fight.
“The programme is on. There is no issue with the main bout. Tomu has pulled out due to injury. The match-up is on but there have been some slight changes.
“There has been eight months then professional boxing return.”
Naitasiri slugger Isikeli Senidoko tipped the scale at (82.7kg) to face Apisai Naciqa (84.3kg) for the cruiserweight.
In the main supporting: Alivereti Kauyaca tipped the scale at 88.65 kg while Eroni Ligaloa was at 88kg in another cruiserweight thriller.
