Applications for the National Toppers Local Scholarship Scheme, Scholarship Scheme for Students with Special Needs, Tertiary Education Loans Scheme for New Students, Tertiary Education Loans Scheme for Technical College of Fiji Students and Tertiary Education Loans Scheme for Year 12 students for Fiji National University approved engineering programs will close on 24th January 2021.

Application processing for these schemes will open on 27th January and close on 19th February 2021.

Applications for the Tertiary Education Loans Scheme for Existing Students, Tertiary Education Loans Scheme for Private Sector Employees and Tertiary Education Loan Scheme
for Public Sector Employees close on 31 December, 2021.

Application processing for these schemes will commence on 2nd January 2021 and close on 22nd January 2021.

Following the closing date for the applications, processing of applications for 2021 will commence.

Processing for complete applications in all aspects may commence before the application processing opening date.

TSLB wishes to remind all Fijians planning to seek financial assistance for commencement of their studies from academic term one of 2021 to complete their applications before the due
dates for the respective schemes.

Students who are currently in Year 12 or 13 must apply before the due dates even if they do not have their Year 12/13 results and the final offer letter
from the higher education institutions.

All incomplete applications, except for those without Year 12/13 results and final offer letter from the higher education institutions will be declined by TSLB at the commencement of the
application processing opening period.

During the application processing opening and closing period, applicants will be allowed to update their applications for Year 12/13 results and final
offer letters.

It is also important for the applicants to refrain from uploading or submitting the provisional program offer letters issued by the Higher Education Institutions.

TSLB will require the final program offer letters to process the applications.

TSLB further wishes to remind those planning to apply for any of the Fijian Government Scholarship schemes that provision of false information in the application is an offence under the False Information Act 2016.

Any person making false representation in the application commits an offence and is liable upon conviction to a fine not exceeding $20000 or imprisonment for a term not exceeding 10 years, or to both.

As such TSLB is calling for honesty from all Fijians when making an application.

Fijians are encouraged to apply early as due to the quota system in place for all Fijian Government Schemes for 2021, applying late may result in the applicant missing out on the financial assistance if the quota for the scheme has been reached.

Any queries on the TSLB online application system should be directed to it@tslb.com.fj
