The Tailevu Provincial Council has endorsed a Tailevu Think Tank to enable the province and Government to join forces to work on meeting the needs of the people.

Council chairperson, Acting Commissioner of Police, Rusiate Tudravu said the idea was discussed during the past provincial council meeting in an effort to bring about development right to the grassroots level.

ACP Tudravu applauded Government’s involvement in funding development projects that held greatly impacted the province.

He said the motive behind the Think Tank was to bring about developments to the families and individuals in villages through the Tailevu Holdings Company Limited.

“We want to be able to fund our own projects and let major projects go through Government,” ACP Tudravu said.

He explained that district representatives were being educated to align their needs and wants according to programmes already set out by individual Government departments.

ACP Tudravu added that the meeting would concentrate on strengthening subcommittees and dialogues.

The Tailevu Think Tank was endorsed in the past provincial council meeting.
