The Nadi Town Council is working closely with the Department of Social Welfare to assist a mentally challenged woman.

The woman caused an unpleasant look in Nadi Town after she emptied rubbish bins on the main street.

Nadi/Sigatoka special administrator chairman, Adish Naidu, said it was worrying and unfortunate that a woman was involved .

He added that they would be liaising with the social welfare department regarding the issue and the safety of the woman.

“The woman has done this on several occasions. She was also found uprooting flowers from the gardens. We will see how we can assist her,” he said.

The staff of the Nadi Town Council were on their feet in keeping the town clean once again.
