More than 20 students yesterday reaped the fruit of their hard work after graduating with Diplomas and Certificates in Theology from the World Harvest Institute in Suva.

Among the graduates was 29-year-old Losalini Tinaicegu, 29.

The Vaturova Village lad of Cakaudrove Province, said her journey to success was a challenging one.

“There were distractions in classes due to COVID-19 and the fact that my family was away from me makes it very tough for me. I love learning about the word of God and getting to know more and intimate relationships with God. With the help of the Holy Spirit it was interesting to learn,” she said.

Luke Saugadrevi, 19, of Matuku, Lau said he always wanted to know more about God.

“I have been hearing stories of people working with God, stories of people seeing miracles, signs and wonders and I wanted the same,” he said.

He said he was engaged with church crusade since high school and being part of a Christian musical band motivated him to further his dreams.

“I wanted to get closer to God and studying about my religion will help me become a better youth leader and teach the people about the Bible,” Mr Saugadrevi said.

Graduate, Mosese Garai, 31, aims to help young people engage in the church ministry to battle drug abuse in the Pacific communities.

The Vanuatu national said he wanted to teach the children to come out of drugs and other issues faced by youngsters in schools.

“My plan is to go back to Vanuatu, and to engage in children’s ministry where I could help them live a victorious life in a crime free zone away from sinful society,” he said.
