Semis Today, Final Next Week

The second half of the first semifinal between Rewa and Nadi of the 2020 Vodafone Fiji FACT has been postponed to today.
This was due to the unplayable condition of Subrail Park caused by a heavy downpour yesterday.
Fiji Football Association chief executive officer Mohammed Yusuf said they could not do much due to the prevailing circumstance.
“After taking on board the referee’s decision, we decided to abandon the second half of the Rewa-Nadi match,” he said.
“It will be played on Sunday.
“If the weather remains the same on Sunday, we will make a decision.
“But the finals will definitely be played next week. It could be either in Suva, Nadi, Rewa or Labasa.”
The second half of the Rewa-Nadi game is now due to kickoff at 12pm today while the Labasa-Suva match us due to start at 1pm.
Nadi led 1-0 with a goal from Vuniuci Tikoimereke in the 5th minute.
Referees Director Rakesh Varman said: “Since the ball can’t roll on the ground, we decided to abandon the game. It is not playable and it is also for the safety of the players.”
Meanwhile, Labasa midfielder Ashnil Raju, who married Shawashni Lata, yesterday said he would play for the Babasiga Lions against Suva today.
“I will play for Labasa in the semifinal against Suva,” Raju said.
All ticket holders for Day 5 would be valid for Day 6.
Meanwhile, the Senior Division game between Seaqaqa and Taveuni will be at Bocalevu Muslim Primary school at 10am while Savusavu and Nadogo meet at 12pm.
