Companies And Businesses Urged To Register Online Before Deadline

Businesses and companies have been urged to come forward and do their online registration.
During the Fiji Chamber of Commerce and Industry discussion session at the Grand Pacific Hotel in Suva last night, the Attorney-General and Minister for Economy, Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum highlighted that many businesses and companies have yet to be registered online.
He said these businesses and companies needed to come forward and not wait until the last minute.
“It will be helpful to them,” Mr Sayed-Khaiyum said.
He said the digital registration lessens the time, cost and difficulty for companies and businesses to access financial services like loans.
Meanwhile, chairman of Association of Banks, Rakesh Ram, said if customers provide their details to the banks, the bank could assist in their registrations.
The deadline for digital registration of all companies, foreign companies and business name holders is December 31, 2020.
