Digicel Opens Cumming Street Store

The refurbished Digicel store at Cumming Street in Suva was opened on Friday.
Together with the opening was the announcement of its new 180GB for $15 deal.
Digicel chief executive officer, Mohammed Farid, said the store was equipped with the latest technology and unlike their other stores, all products were real and not replicas.
“We want customers to get the real feel of what they are buying. This is an innovation which would help customers,” he said.
Hundreds lined up to have a glimpse of what the outlet has to offer.
Drawing crowd was the in-store Santa Claus.
Children took turns telling him what they wanted for Christmas.
Suva City Council special administrator, Vimal Kumar, said they were proud to foster and promote a conducive environment which helped develop Suva.
“We support such initiatives because this is how businesses can help towards getting Suva to be a smart city,” Mr Kumar said.
Three-year-old Siteri Rakai was given a doll by the in-store Santa. A week ago, Siteri had met Digicel Santa in Damodar City and told him what she wanted.
The Digicel Diwali competition draw was also done on Friday.
