Average Student Becomes Dux

Believing in yourself is the major step towards success, says Shahil Sharma, the dux of Batinikama College.
The 18-year-old said Sharma said it was a very challenging year since there was big competition among the students.
“I was not the highest scorer in last year’s exam but I am determined that I can achieve it this year,” he said.
“I was an average student and coming this far has been very rewarding.”
He is the first dux in his family.
“Now my only dream is to work hard with full determination and courage and support my parents,” he said.
“I will always be thankful to my parents and teachers for having faith in me and motivating me that I can be the dux.”
The Year 13 student was also the head boy of the college.
