Update On Water Disruption In Nakasi Area

The Water Authority of Fiji (WAF) has commenced works to normalise water supply to customers living along the King’s Road from the Wainibuku junction to the Rewa Bridge.

An old valve that had given way and caused the water disruptions will be removed with work expected to be completed overnight. Water restoration to normal standards will occur gradually over time, as the system is replenished and reservoirs re-filled.

Areas Disrupted include:
Nakasi, Davuilevu, Farm Road, Sasawira Road, LDS Church Road, Waidamudamu Settlement, FNU Lab Road, FNU School and Staff Quarters, Koronivia Research Station, Koronivia Road, Tawakelevu Road, New Town Road, Sauma Settlement, Dalip Street, Dasrath Street, Gagali Road, Lokia Road, Buabua Road, Dilkusha Road, Lelean Memorial School and YPD.

The Authority asks all customers in all areas to store adequate amounts of water for at least 2 to 3 days.

We apologise for the inconvenience caused. Water carting trucks have been deployed to provide relief.
