116 Micro Small And Medium Enterprises Have Undertaken Business Training So Far Scan

The Ministry of Commerce, Trade, Tourism and Transport through Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Fiji is undertaking relevant basic business training for Fijian MSMEs.
To date 116 MSMEs have undergone training which included:
• 75 women entrepreneurs and
• 43 male entrepreneurs .
Past week 17 concessional loan recipients were training at the National Centre for Small and Micro Enterprises Development headquarters on Robertson Road.
About The Training:

The Ministry through these trainings aims to:
• Strengthen understanding of the MSME business model
• Enlighten healthy business habits
• Strengthen Financial Literacy on pricing, costing and profit models
• Instill good governance mechanisms
These trainings are also conducted in collaboration with Fiji Revenue Customs Services (FRCS) whereby it enlightens the participants on the current tax regimes in Fiji and educates on ways to strengthen the tax compliance.
Currently the training has been conducted in the Central Division and the Ministry intends to have similar trainings in the Western, Northern and Eastern Division.
