Further to our market announcement on 11 November 2020, we provide herein an update for this flight.

The charter flight will bring in our students as well as uplift Fiji citizens and approved non-Fiji citizens.

(No luggage must exceed a maximum weight of 32kg each as required under NZ’s Health and Safety Laws. Excess luggage (of up to 32kg per piece) will only be allowed subject to availability and on a first come first serve basis. Therefore, passengers are strongly advised to adhere to the 23kg baggage allowance to avoid disappointment.)

Allowed passengers: 1. Free Bird Students; 2. Fiji citizens (Fiji passport holders); and 3. Non-Fiji citizens that hold a special Fiji permit (who must be obtain approval from the Office of the Prime Minister for entry into Fiji prior to departure).

All Non-Fiji citizens should contact the Office of the Prime Minister by emailing pereeza.ali@govnet.gov.fj and must have written permission from the Fiji Government before being accepted on the flight.

All passengers requiring to transit via New Zealand must ensure that they obtain the necessary approvals from the New Zealand government and relevant authorities for entry/transit through New Zealand.

All passengers must have documented proof of a negative PCR COVID-19 Test which must be by way of a swab test and taken no earlier than 72 hours prior to departure. For more information of accepted tests, please visit https://www.mcttt.gov.fj/wp-content/uploads/2020/08/Flyer.jpg.

All arriving passengers must go into mandatory quarantine upon arrival at a Fijian Government approved facility for 14 days and will unable to go to their homes or residences.

All passengers will also be tested for COVID-19 on Day 2 (Entry Swab) and Day 12 (Exit Swab) after arrival.

 

Quarantine requirements:

Fiji Citizens
• Fijians citizens do not have to pay for quarantine or for COVID-19 tests in Fiji.
• Quarantine is at Fijian Government approved and managed hotels
• Access to a higher end accommodation is possible, but must be paid for by the requesting guest in its entirety. A request can be made by emailing the Fiji COVID Risk Mitigation Taskforce at crmt@govnet.gov.fj.

Non-Fiji Citizens
• Non-citizens will bear the cost of quarantine in Fiji. Information on quarantine charges and locations can be requested by emailing nadi.airport@health.gov.fj.
• Non-citizens will bear costs of all COVID-19 tests done in Fiji. A COVID-19 Test will cost $300 (FJD) at payable in cash only at the Hotel Quarantine. Non-citizens are encouraged to convert their currency to Fijian dollars before they arrive or withdraw from ATMs available at Nadi International Airport.

As per the directives of authorities, we are unable to uplift transit passengers on this charter flight to Fiji.
