Bollywood Singer Performs In Nasinu

More than 100 people gathered at the Nasinu Kaliamman Temple on Sunday evening to witness the Bollywood singer, Sumeet Tappoo perform.
Mr Tappoo will be performing nationwide to show compassion for those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic under his Corona to Karuna Fiji tour.
Giving an introductory speech, Indian High Commission’s cultural centre director, Santosh Mishra said, Mr Tappoo’s singing talent was considered to be among the top in India.
He said Mr Tappoo was the representation of Fiji in India and not only a renowned performer but an ambassador for Fiji.
Mr Mishra said Fijians were lucky to witness Mr Tappoo perform.
Rajendra Prasad of Valelevu said the opportunity to hear the singer was rare and he wouldn’t miss it.
“It is like listening to songs being played in heaven. He is so talented and more than anything he is so humble,” he said.
Avantika Prasad said Mr Tappoo was the perfect example of what compassion was.
“I know the concert aims to get us to be compassionate through divinity and song but I think people can learn a lot from Mr Tappoo and his family. Their dedication and service to humanity is exceptional,” she said.Mr Tappoo will be performing in Rakiraki on Saturday at the Wairuku Kuti.
