30 Cops In Curfew Party Claim

Thirty Police officers are currently facing internal tribunal after they were found to be drinking after curfew hours at the Police Sports Club in Nasese, Suva, last Thursday.

Police sources have confirmed that the female volleyball teams had gathered for Sukuna Bowl celebrations and had a drinking session which went beyond 11pm.

Senior Police officers – Chief Operations Officer ACP Abdul Khan and Acting Police Commissioner Rusiate Tudravu have both avoided commenting on this issue.

But reliable Police sources have told of attempts to sweep this matter under the carpet.

It is claimed that the incident was not recorded in the Daily Situation report till two days later, bringing to question why it was not recorded in Friday’s Daily Situation report.

Furthermore, all officers who have since been brought before the tribunal have pleaded not guilty.
