RFMF Take Proactive Steps As TC Yasa Nears

Some members of the Third Battalion Fiji Infantry Regiment (3FIR) have been deployed to Kadavu and parts of the Western division to preposition themselves as TC Yasa gets closer to Fiji.
3FIR Commanding Officer, Lieutenant-Colonel (Lt-Col) Aseri Rokoura made the comments this morning (16 December 2020) while reviewing the 3FIR end of the year parade at the Queen Elizabeth Barracks drill square in Nabua.
He reminded members of the battalion that their main role was to ensure assistance is rendered to Fijians and that every Fijian is safe as TC Yasa approached.

Lt-Col Rokoura thanked his team for the hard work shown during the year especially – on deployments which began earlier this year focusing on containing Covid-19 in the country.
Lastly, the Battalion also honoured those that have retired f this year and hosted a morning tea where they were awarded certificates and gifts from the Commanding Officer.
