German Yacht Takes In Water, Crew Safe On Secluded Vanuabalavu Island
Republic of Fiji Military Forces Naval Division Maritime Commander, Commander Timoci Natuva confirmed the yacht has a valid cruising certificate.

The Pantagruel.
The Fiji Maritime Surveillance Rescue Coordination Centre is coordinating a case where a yacht took in water earlier today.
The vessel, Pantagruel has been in Fiji since July. It flies a German flag.
It arrived at Port Denarau before sailing to Mana Island and later Savusavu.
The yacht arrived in Savusavu on the 28th of August. It docked there for three days.
Republic of Fiji Military Forces Naval Division Maritime Commander, Commander Timoci Natuva confirmed the yacht has a valid cruising certificate.
He said the six crew members onboard are now on a secluded island in Vanuabalavu. They are in contact with the crew via HF radio.
“They are all in good health so far and we are trying to get them to Lomaloma village,” Commander Natuva said.
He confirmed they would send rescue when the weather clears up.
