Batiniqila, First Fijian Female To Attend UK Royal Navy
Midshipman Batiniqila will depart for the UK next month.

British High Commissioner George Edgar, Midshipman Esita Batiniqila and Commander of the Republic of Fiji Navy Captain (Navy) Humphrey Tawake.
Midshipman Esita Batiniqila will be the first Fijian female navy personnel to attend the Royal Navy’s Initial Officer Training at Dartmouth, United Kingdom.
She was farewelled by British High Commissioner George Edgar earlier today.
Midshipman Batiniqila will depart for the UK next month. She was part of the pioneering women recruit of the Republic of Military Forces Naval Division in 2018.
The three month training stint is an ongoing partnership between the UK and Fijian Government.
