The Suva football side could well be on their way to win­ning the 2020 Champions versus Champions series.

Suva have the firepowers to match opponents Labasa when the giants of football go head-to-head on the 23rd of January with the return leg on the 31st of January.

Speaking to Sun sports coach Babs Khan said his team would have to prepare well against Labasa.

“We have to sharpen up against Labasa they are a very structured side,” he said.

“Full of attack and enterpricing play on game day if we give them an inch, they will definitely take a mile and win.”

“The onus now is on the boys and how they will play on the day.”

Suva with the likes of Sairusi Naulubu, Christopher Wasasala upfront the whites are sharp on at­tack.

According to Khan these two strikers have been playing well this season.

“They are so far the best two strik­ers we have in Fiji,” he said.

“Sai is a young and very talented young man whom I see have a very long way to go in his career.”

“Chris is a veteran striker whose been around for a while and play­ing against his fellow provincial players from Labasa is always an honor for him.

“He is very deadly when his teams provide him with good balls and his fast just like Sai.”

“We have to see and make sure that these two are inform when we take on Labasa”

“At training we are working on ways and structures of our play that will provide more chances for these two strikers.”

“Well come the day then we will see how it goes.”

Meanwhile Labasa has opted to keep their preparations low.

One thing is for sure the Babasiga Lions will leave no stone unturned when they take on Suva.

They are currently the CVC Series champions and they know how to play in these kinds of crunch match.

Their performance this season has been very good, and their fans know they are ready for battle.
