Three People Died As A Result Of A Head-On Collision Last Night.
The collision occurred at Matacula village in Tailevu at around 09.30 pm claiming the lives of three men aged 32 and 60-year-old who died at the scene while the 42-year-old victim later died in hospital this morning.
The 60-year-old was one of the two passengers who were on their way to Natovi when the incident occurred.
The other vehicle coming from the opposite direction was driven by a 32-year-old victim with 49 and 42-year-old passengers overtook a taxi and collided head-on.
Two people died at the scene due to the collision impact while the four remaining passengers were rushed to CWM Hospital.
The 42-year-old later died this morning.
The national road death toll currently stands at 39 compared to 61 for the same period last year.
Investigations continue.
