President Major-General (Retired) Jioji Konrote, Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama and the family of the late Warrant Officer Class 2 Suliano Koro Ganita bid him farewell at the Lomary burial ground.
The body of the late Warrant Officer Class 2 Suliano Koro Ganita was laid to rest at Lomary in the province of Serua on Christmas eve.
WO2 Ganita enlisted in the Republic of Fiji Military Forces Naval Division in 1982. He served in the Navy Auxilliary Unit and was later part of Prime Minister Voreqe Bainimarama’s close protection team.
At the time of his death, he was a member of the Fijian President’s security detail.
The late WO2 Ganita was known as a man of charity, service and humility. Eulogies delivered by his family and colleagues heard that he was not only loyal to his friends but to family and country.
