The team and officials also helped out villagers rebuild their homes after the devastation by Tropical Cyclone Yasa.

It was also an opportunity for the players and officials build and strengthen traditional links.

And despite the reschedule of their match to December 28, both teams enjoyed the opportunity to play against each other.

Rewa development and senior teams won their games. The development team defeated Lakeba, 27-3 while the seniors won 21-6.

Before the match they were accorded a traditional welcoming ceremony known as Rova with the goal posts were decorated with masi or tapa cloths.
