Government Minister’s Driver Charged For Allegedly Breaching Curfew

The driver of a Government Minister has been charged for allegedly breaching curfew.
He will appear at the Nadi Magistrates Court.
The driver was caught allegedly breaching curfew hours while driving the Ministerial vehicle.
Police Chief Operations Officer, Assistant Commissioner of Police Abdul Khan yesterday asked people to respect the curfew hours in place.
He said Police have already beefed up their operations for the new year.
He said they would be beefing up more manpower across the divisions in terms of providing a safer environment for everyone to celebrate New Year.
ACP Khan added that Police would be setting up snap check points rather than static check points.
He said this was done to ensure that Police cover as many areas as possible.
