A senior Police officer appeared before Magistrate Jeremiah Savou yesterday charged for allegedly assaulting a man last month.
Suliasi Cama is charged with one count of assault causing actual bodily harm.
He is alleged to have assaulted Kaliova Ratuqaravanua on November 15, 2020 at Korotiki Lane in Samabula.
Cama was represented by lawyer Joji Cakau from Vosarogo Lawyers.
Police prosecutor sought for strict bail conditions and told the court.
Prosecutor also told the court that the alleged offence was reconcilable because the accused and the complainant were not related.
Cama was granted bail on his personal bond of $300.
Mr Cakau told the court that Cama wished to visit Vanua Levu for a month because he wanted to check on his house following Tropical Cyclone Yasa.
Magistrate Savou told the counsel to make the necessary application for the court to make a decision on the same. The matter has been adjourned for mention on February 26 next year to check if the complainant wished to reconcile with the accused.
